The event takes place on 2nd August 2008, the start time for the event is 7 am and The triathlon comprises of

  • 750m Swim
  • 24km Bike Ride
  • 5km Run

Medical Personnel

The St Johns Ambulance has confirmed that they will provide all the trained medical personnel required to stage the event. All other emergency services will be contacted to make them aware that the event is taking place.

Race Day Massage

There will be pre & post race massage facility available. This service can be booked and paid for on the race day.

Event Rules

All athletes will be required to race within the rules stipulated by the British Triathlon Association; any athlete failing to do so will be disqualified.

First time Athletes

If any athlete who is competing in their first triathlon requires any additional information or help on the race day please inform a member of the race crew at registration.

All routes will be subject to change, please check the website news for any amendments.

It is the athlete’s responsibility to familiarise them selves with the course, any relevant hazards will be highlighted during the race day briefing which will be mandatory to attend.

Should the conditions dictate then the race will become a duathlon; the duathlon will will comprise of a 5km run / 24km bike / 5 km run. All athletes must follow the instructions of the Marshalls and event officials, remember a 10 second delay will not ruin you race but disqualification or an accident will.
